Ignite your child's passion for Theater !

Description:

This workshop is designed for young performers eager to explore the magic of the stage, and for parents seeking an enriching, fun, and creative environment for their children. Discover the many aspects of the theatrical arts under the guidance of our experienced instructors. Get first-hand experience rehearsing and performing Frozen Jr. 


Schedule:  

  • Classes are Tues/Thurs September 25th - November 25 from 6-7:30pm
  • No classes on the following holidays (10/2, 11/11, and 11/27).
  • Tech week is Dec 1 Through 5 (every night) from 6-8pm.
  • Showcase performance on December 6th at 2pm.


Location: Celebrate St. James - 176 2nd Street, St. James, NY 11780.

  • Sibling discount = $325 (including first child).

Morgan Faye Neuhedel - Director / Choreographer

Morgan Faye Neuhedel - Director / Choreographer

 Morgan Faye Neuhedel has performed, choreographed, and taught all over the island for over a decade. She has a master’s degree in childhood education, and 17 years of dance training. She currently works as a teacher at Winston Preparatory school. Most recently Morgan choreographed Lighthouse's summer camp Youth Workshop of Annie Jr. and mainstage show - A Bronx Tale.

Joe Mankowski - Music Director

Morgan Faye Neuhedel - Director / Choreographer

  Joseph Mankowski is the Artistic Music Director for Lighthouse. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from The Catholic University of America, and has spent the majority of his 50+ years performing and directing. He currently serves as the Director of Music at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church in Sayville, NY, and lends his voice to various musical groups, including the classic rock band Rock Island Sound, and the vocal quartet Social Dissonance.

Jacklyn Lisi - Youth Theatre Coordinator

  Jacklyn has been involved in theatre for most of her life...with several years experience as a camp counselor at prominent Long Island Theaters. She's playing leading roles in professional children’s theatre productions at the John W. Engeman theatre where she also engaged and educated young audiences.

Jacklyn Lisi - Youth Theatre Coordinator

 Tony Chiofalo is the President and Artistic Director of Lighthouse, and oversees all aspects of the youth workshop program. 

He is a military veteran and seasoned theatre professional with a 20+ year background in acting, directing, and producing that spans International, Off-Broadway, and Regional Theatre. He has appeared on professional stages such as the John W. Engeman Theatre, Gateway Playhouse, and SOHO Playhouse.

Natalie Weinstein - CSJ President

       Natalie Weinstein is the co-founder and President of Celebrate St. James. A visionary   leader and passionate community advocate - Natalie graduated magna cum laude   from Queen’s College with dual degrees in elementary education and music.   Natalie is a prominent teacher, media personality, sought-after speaker, and author of several popular books, including the children’s book Katrina’s New Room.
