Joseph Mankowski - Musical Arts Director

Joseph has been performing and directing for practically his entire life. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous films, television shows, and on stages up and down the East Coast. He has performed in such venues as the Basilica of the National Shrine Of The Immaculate Conception, The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Kennedy Center. With a degree in Music from Catholic University of America, Joseph brings a wide range of experience as a music director and conductor. He is proficient in many genres of music, including Musical Theatre, Jazz, Rock, and Sacred music. Joseph has worked for, and with, many non-profit organizations over the years. He currently serves as the Director of Music at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church in Sayville, NY, and lends his voice to various musical groups, including the classic rock band Rock Island Sound, and the vocal quartet Social Dissonance. Joseph feels strongly that the performing arts can have a positive impact on the community, and is committed to applying his performing, directing, and musical experience to Lighthouse for many seasons to come.
